PSAT Day- October 12th

The PSAT, Preliminary SAT, also known as the PSAT/NMSQT® (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), is a practice version of the SAT exam.  All 10th and 11th grade students will be taking the PSATNMSQT on Wednesday October 12th.  All 9th grade students will take the PSAT 9.  To learn about the test, visit the collegeboard.com.  Students will need to bring #2 sharpened pencils and an acceptable calculator.  Scores are released in about 4-6 weeks and can be accessed through the collegeboard.

Class of 2023 will not be taking the PSAT and have three choices:
1.  Come to school and receive support on your college application, college essay or post high school planning from counselors and teachers.
2.  Register and attend the Howard Community College Senior Summit.   RHS is providing a bus to this event- see your counselor if you wish to be included on the bus.
3.  Visit a college, job site, or trade school.

I want to remind you that ARL needs buses to run as usual on Wednesday, October 12th, PSAT Day.  We do have seniors who attend ARL in the morning, as well as the afternoon.  AM and PM students may opt to attend classes at ARL on that day, including underclassmen who opt not to take the PSAT at their home schools.
