I am struggling in a class.  How do I get help?   Students have many options for tutoring.  1)  Ask your teacher for extra help  2)  Howard County Public Libray offers free virtual tutoring from 2pm-11:55pm 7 days a week   3) Talk to your counselor about finding a peer tutor     4.  Check out Khan Academy for video tutorials.

How do I take classes at HCC:  JumpStart Dual-Enrollment is a partnership between HCPSS and Howard Community College (HCC) that provides options for HCPSS students to gain college credits, explore possible careers or earn an associate degree.  Please visit our HCC JumpStart Dual-Enrollment page for more information.

How many credits do I need for graduation?   Please visit https://policy.hcpss.org/8000/8030/ for information related to graduation requirements.

How do I obtain/submit service learning hours? Here is the form that should be submitted for service learning.  Information on how to get service hours is linked here.

How do I register for the SAT's?   Registration can be found at www.collegeboard.org.   Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch should email their counselor for a fee waiver.

How do I register for the ACT's?  Registration can be found at www.act.org.  Students who qualify for free and reduced lunch should email their counselor for a fee waiver.

Learner's Permit Information:   For specific information about requirements for getting a learner's permit, visit MVA Learner's Permit.  The school must verify the student's attendance. Please use the DL 300A Form from the MVA.

How do I recover my password/username:   If you forget your active directory username or password, please visit the Self Service page to recover that information. This username and password will be needed in order to access Canvas, Synergy, Google Meet, G Suite, Naviance and other HCPSS online platforms.  For step-by-step directions please visit User Directions.
