The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) is committed to providing an educational and work environment that is free from discrimination, fosters equitable opportunities, and values diversity and commonality. Pronoun Options in Canvas 

All Canvas users, including students, staff, and parents/families, can identify their pronouns in Canvas. As a default, the pronoun field is left blank. Reservoir High School Embraces Diversity

At Reservoir High School, we embrace the diversity within our community with the belief that valuing our differences makes us a stronger and more supportive community. We support our LGBTQIA+ students and staff and strive to provide an affirming environment, committed to providing an educational and social environment that affirms and promotes an inclusive, equitable space which values diversity.

RHS Rainbow Representative:

Rainbow Representatives ensure that schools are allies and advocates for LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and families. The school Rainbow Representative attends quarterly meetings; receives and disseminates information regarding LGBTQIA+ topics of interest to the school and school community as appropriate; and provides instructional support for educators. GSA:

The RHS Gender and Sexuality Alliance is a student-run group where LGBTQIA+ youth and their allies have a place to socialize without fear of judgment. Join us to talk about what is happening in the news in regards to the LGBTQ community, play games, watch movies, read articles, talk about recent happenings, and socialize. Just show up to meetings, no requirements. Come when you can! We meet on Thursdays from 2:15-3:15pm in Room 208  Contact GSA sponsor Suzanne Hughes at suzanne_hughes@hcpss.org.
